sportster grips
just a daft quick one, how are sportster handgrips fixed to the bars?..glued on like other makes, cos im wanting to change em from oe ones(horrid) to some chrome/leather type ones...im assuming thin screwdriver down bar to brake glue seal, clean bars/throttle sleeve..hairspray in new grips slide on into place and leave to set/dry!!..any other tips welcome

Got some that sound a bit like what you're after; chrome with rubber bar & shield design. Bought 'em ages ago and went off 'em so they're still in the box. Interested?

They come in different external diameter sizes as well. I went for the big fat ones. Makes the throttle need an extra twist.

Don't forget to loosen the throttle cable and don't loose the brass inserts.
