Air Filter

Hi Chaps, weekend nearly here. Question for you people. I'm just about to buy V&H Short Shots for my 07 883, go the fuel pak, so air filter. Screamin Eagle stage 1 or k&N replacement? 1st option is £120 ish and the other £50 ish. Now I'm not known for spending money and i ain't a Scot, so which is best for performance?

Cheers all, and bring on that sun shine.

Mines a 1200c... 07' EFI.

Fitted V&H Fuelpak
K&N RK 2939 (or 3929!)
V&H Staggers

Result...... bollox - never run properly, despite checking the settings over and over again.

Ripped out the Fuelpak

Running with just the K&N and Staggers, idles ok, runs like pig, havent got the heart to revert back to the standard filters cant stand the thought of wasting another $250.00

The only thing with these with the set up you are looking at, is to get it set up on a dyna...IMO otherwise dont waste your money...

Re: Air Filter

Been using K&N filters as far back as i can remember with no probs. And millions of people worldwide use them in cars, boats, motorcycles and they are used by top race teams around the world.
They flow more air (CFM) than any other filter on the market.
At the end of the day its just a free flowing filter i cant see what the problem could be, more air in and an alteration to the fuel system to cope with it.
I really cant see what problem you could have unless you dont set up the fuel pack correctly.

Lee67, what sort of issues did you have that put you off the K&N?
