Ah the old impact drivers are still around then. Bet a few of you out there used to have fun with yer cross head screws on your old Triumphs and BSA's and rejoiced when they brought out Allen bolts/screws. So what sh*t for brains came up with Torx head bolts ? I hate the bl**dy things.

Try and undo em while the engine is hot, usually makes it easier!

I recently replaced the derby cover on my Sportster with a Willie G. Skull one.

Not being mechanically minded........the bike was on the side stand while I removed the cover...........

This lead to an impromptu replacing of the fluid

I changed the gasket and installed the cover, then re-filled the fluid via the chain inspection cover.

inbetween rain today...ive done plugs and new revtech(blue) ign leads, adjusted and lubed throttle cables, greased head bearings..general grease check etc...so just got oil/filter..tranny oil to change..and fit a new front tyre and its game on

Hiya mate..i'm gonna be doing my 10,000 mile service plus some extra bits during January/Feb..my factory service manual recommends regreasing the swinging arm bearings at 10,000..i will be doing this as i will be having the back wheel out anyway to regrease the axle..just thought i'd let you know
