Re: Help Needed

How do you know nothing is wrong with the starter. Did you megga it ?

Do the plugs both look the same. Is the washer on both ?

Re: Help Needed

I have not heard the bike running Lee, but that is not the question I am asking.

I did all the measurements that it says in the service manual for the starter and the plugs are the same length

Re: Help Needed

..plugs dont matter here..cos there were sparking....if indeed the starter checks out( needs to be tested)..u cant diagnose a faulty starter on looks alone..then check rear piston aint touching the plug( has been known)....where are u based as someone might be local and have more knowledge...4 eyes an all that...

Re: Help Needed

situated in the east central region near to Leicester, I thought that seeing that I had used the same plug on each cylinder there should be no reason for it to hit. the bike was brought as seen, it need the controls doing ont the front end but the electrics to the starter are all good, It still might be the starter that is at fault after all it is 19 years old and it dose not look like a replaced one.

Cheers

Steve
