Indicator running lights

Hiya Folks

I have got a 2007 883c and like the way the american models have the indicator/ running lights. Does the international model have the same wiring loom as the american model. I was wondering if any one has fitted any and if so how easy is it and have any one had any problems at MOT time.

Thanks

Ants

Re: Indicator running lights

Lots of aftermarket indicator kits have three wires for that purpose. Its quite simple but the running light connections need adding in.

Re: Indicator running lights

Models in Australia have this system on the 2008 and 2009 Nightster they are prefixed 5HD1 which i understand is an international serial number. Hope this helps

Re: Indicator running lights

I think you may find they're just a teensy bit illiegal in this country - i'd replace 'em before MoT time

Re: Indicator running lights

I doubt it. Amber running lights are ok. Plus pipes are a much bigger issue.

im not so sure, the last time i looked at the dot book (quite some time ago) it said that the forward facing lights have to be white so i would assume white is acceptable for daytime 'running lights'.

If they're the Yank style combined indicators and running lights (i.e. on all the time, flash for indicators), then as far as I know, they are illegal.

That said, if you can get 'em through an MoT then bugger it, eh?
