I'm not sure if it is still there but Black Bear in Newmarket had one in thier show room a while back. Looked OK - but only just.... ![]() Also there was a review in MCN somewhere that said teh screen was really good. Do you do a lot of long runs?

if at all possible try a bike with one fitted first. I have a QD switchblade screen on my 2008 sportser low.Which i got from Custome Cruiser of Alfreton. I bought the shorty screen cause it looks good, but a longer screen gives less buffetting. On balance although the screen does give good chest protection from the cold and rain, i would not spend £300 on a screen again. Overall the bike is in my opinion better to ride withut one. Also at high speed(90 plus) in a cross wind you are going to wish you had a good steering damper as front end flap can be more than a little scary. |

Thought I,d try attaching a photo. Up and down the M1 883/1200 steady 80-90mph solid as a rock.

I have a Harley QD windscreen for my 98 XL1200C. The buffeting and noise it causes, when riding into a headwind or at speed, makes it virtually useless. It's a much nicer ride without it. Every now and again I put it back on, go for a ride and then I'm reminded why I took it off.

| Re: nightster windscreen
Having spent £300 on the HD Quick release touring screen I used it and almost chucked it straight away in to the skip. I've since played around and adjusted the height of the screen on the forks and managed to virtually eliminate head buffeting. I now don't want to take it off as I find it easier to go faster without wind blast, it's less tiring on long journeys, even though the look of the bike is a bit naff with the screen in place. If you do long rides fit one and get used to the slightly different feel of the bike and if not - go naked coz it looks better! |

I have just bought a mid height one off ebay. I cant get the angle right where I don't have bufferting. Straight up and the front end is loose and the top of my head gets a hammering. Angled down I get it full in the face but nothing on my chest. This is with an open face lid. I'm considering a full face helmet and no screen as the bike does look better without it. Upside is I eat less flies.

| Re: nightster windscreen cheers for the replys going to give the bike a few miles first without a screen will most likely put the money towards a pair of black vance and hines exhausts over the winter ...
