Well Ive been out with the new hagons front and back and must say they're a great improvement, I can now take bends without the feeling of over or under steer or feeling the bike was going to jump off the road when the road surface was rough ? and my bones don't get a pasting every time I hit a pot hole or whatever. Just wish Harley would fit decent suspension to start with.

Re: Suspension

I went with a pair of Hagons for the rear shocks on my 89 Sporty, i weigh in at 23 stone and with my missus on its pushing 30 so the original shocks didnt stand a chance. Since buying and fitting the Hagons its been a beautifully smooth ride.

They retail at about £130 i think, il get the part and model number ASAP.

Re: Suspension

Hi
just a follow on question - really addressed at beardy and especially Urrell as i see from previous posts that Urrell and his missus are pretty much in the same range as me and the missus - well i'm a shade under 15stone and Sue is a shade under 14stone.

With shockers that will handle us both under load for a weekend away, do you find the ride unduly harsh just one up - or do you find that your shockers are fine?

i was thinking specifically of hagons on my sporty (xl1200c) as it is wallows two up and bottoms out occasionally - well with any bumps at all!

Re: Suspension

Nick,

Hagon are British old chap and are very accessible. If you are thinking of fitting new shocks etc I suggest you contact them for their advice. If you often ride two up they may recommend uprated shocks rather than standard ones and it will only cost a phone call to find out.

Re: Suspension

The Hagons I ordered were setup specifically for my weight (23 Stone). However i still have room to adjust them up a little more for if i need to take extra weight. As it happens they are fine with me and the missus on (31 Stone ish) and its a very smooth ride!
