883 Stage 1...

Hi guys 'n gals,

I've been searching through all the "which pipes and air cleaner" threads for ages with the aim of finding a simple list of options/suppliers but as with most things (for me anyway) things aren't so simple!

I have a completely stock '05 883 Custom - well, stock apart from the aftermarket pipes that were on it when I bought it! I have absolutely no idea what pipes they are!!! There weren't any reciepts and there aren't any stamps other than the one that says "NOT FOR ROAD USE" - they sound awesome though...

I'm totally new to motorcycles but am fairly handy in the garage and I plan to get the carbs done (and filter). This is where I'm stuck - which kit to get! Is there a "generic", well known kit out there that everyone uses in my situation? I just can't find it - tinternet's showing me options ranging from £14.99 kits on ebay to £60 Dynojet kits.

Which one should I get guys???

Hi, the Dynojet kit is just for doing the carb. You'll still need the filter. K&N or the H-D kit, although HD seem to be distancing themselves from the "performance" stuff.
Have look through the Parts and accessories info on their web site to see if they still do them or give your nearest dealer or independant a bell.
I am sure they will be able to sort you out ok.
