If you have a charger, charge the battery over night. Check voltage with a meter before and after. Fully charged it should give around 14 volts. Alternatively try a jump start with a known good battery (a car one will have stacks of reserves). If the bike leaps into life you know your bike battery is down on power. If you don't normally use a battery minder one will probably eek out a bit of life from your current battery if used overnight.

Don't buy a starter until you can check that battery more closely!
hummm a harley fooling me, sound about bloody right lol,, ill try to jump it from me car later today,, fingers crossed, cheers!!!

Re: Anyone know where.?

There's a plug in relay under your seat.Mine died about a year ago.Goes click...click...click.. on pressing the start button.
Only a couple of quid.Available everywhere in automotive shops.
Worth a try.

Re: Anyone know where.?

It's a square box that plugs in.I'm not saying that this is the problem, but I thought my starter had gone and this was the problem.Unplug it and take it to a shop. Not Halfords though.
Your one will probably be black.I have a posh Ducati one.

Re: Anyone know where.?

Halfords probably won't have one. They only sell fluffy dice nowadays.
Try a motorfactor.
It may not be the problem. But good luck.
If it doesn't fix it,don't buy a new starter. As others have said, get it refurbed.Sometimes the armature just needs a skim with new bushes.A cheap remedy.
