oppps have i made a mistake !!!

I have just purchased a solo seat (at a bargin price) for my xl1200c 2000 the thing is the seat is from a xl1200c 2005.
can someone out there tell me if this will fit. its original Harley stock not aftermarket.
HELP!!!!!

So I guess the frame was modded when they rubber mounted?

They also introduced a new tank shape, all in 2004 if memory serves me (announced at Harley Centenary in 03).

dont panik to much bud, i personaly think along the lines, any seat will fit any bike if you want it to, ive fitted a 1980 heratage single seat to my 89 sporty, it didnt wanna fit but it has,

Did the same thing. Assumed a sportster seat was a sportser seat. Bought a 3.3 gallon one not knowing and I have a 4.5 gallon tank!!!! Solo seat for sale!
