On the way home from the new forest rally,tom hit a pot hole on a bend resulting in the sidestand being ripped off along with half the bracket.





what are the options can it be rewelded (it looks like its a cast bracket)we couldn't find all the bits or can we get a weld on kickstand

I dont know if it can be welded but if it cant, then there are several options for weld on ones. Have a look at this link, page 37 onwards - Zodiac kickstands

im the king of bodgers, but i wouldnt weld that bugger, when you come outa the caf'e one day your mule will be on its side, or even worse a whole string of mules will be on there sides like dominoes

looks like i'll be cutting the bracket off and getting a weld on one then,whats the frame tube size ?

Update just got hold of a kit from my local indy luckily it fits the 1 1/2 inch frame tube

now have to cut the bracket off ready to weld it on.

Glad it was the stand that came off and naw the lad Tel.
bet he got a fright.

Well i sorted out the workshop

and got the grinder out and off came the bracket

and on went the new

side stand fitted


taking the weight

and the lean angle

now to tidy up and refit the electrics.
