The more I play around with my old 02 XL the more I'm convinced that the 07 Customs is really a bag of nails quality wise.

The XL seems to be made of far better components the stock chrome 'seems' thicker everything seems more solid.

The sissy bar rails on my custom seem to be made of tin and then
plated as do the indicator bullets.

Generally the quality just doesnt seem to be there on the Custom.

Anyone else has similar thoughts..?

Looks like the custom has been 'value engineered' down in quality....

my chrome fell off years ago, i have shiney steel now, and lots of wd40 ;)
