Re: my sportster

I've done a similar thing in the past to prevent an afterfit prop stand rotating on the frame tube. Drill a shallow hole inside the clamp and put a small bearing ball in so it is slightly projecting. When the clamp is tightened, the ball is forced into a small depression in the tube, locking it in place. Simples!

Re: my sportster

Looking good Beefy ol' boy. Keep the piccies coming! I'm putting some 19" apes on on saturday with dimples in the bars so I can hide the wiring to keep the front end tidy. One small thing though, ride the bike a day or 2 first before you put any pins on just in case you don't like the position you first chose! I'll post a piccy or 2 when I'm done.
Take care fella!

Re: my sportster

got my bike virtually finished now with a few more bits to finish off.
drilled the riser's then put the pins in ready for the bar's

put the bar's, the grips and all switch gear on.
also tryed a sumax razer edge front fender that we had lying about in the shed(cheers mum)

heres the front end with the bars in position.

heres a shot of the front with both the sumax fender and standard h-d fender.
