At last! new apes fitted!

Just got 'em done. 19" apes! a bit longer than I thought they would look plus the 6" risers, but I think they look the "mutts".
Got all the wires hidden inside the tubes and put braided brake hose on at the same time. pinned the risers to stop the bars chucking me off under heavy braking.
I must like to say at this point that without Jerry at Sledgehammer Customs in Darlington, none of this would have been possible as I'm a complete numnuts when it comes to all this sort of thing, he started at 10am and didn't finish till 10pm without stopping for lunch or anything what a star! big thanks fella! you deserve to do well in your new adventure
Saving up now for next project. Possibly wide glide kit or springer front end (can't make up my mind yet) and stainless fasteners all round!

What you can see are cables and the brake hose, not wires. I assume the wires from the switchgear are what's gone through the bars.

Apes AND engine bars? Neither do it for me for looks, and most definitely not together. Some bikes look good with apes, though I fear I couldn't ride for any distance or at any sort of speed with 'em.

One of our local guys, Carl, has apes & surprisingly enough they seem to both look good and suit him.

If you like it though, then your taste should be what matters.
