1994 Oil Tank Pipes

Name: Oil Tank Dia.jpg
Views: 120
Size: 132.9 KB

Hello all

Just putting my Sporty back together and I have noticed that some oil pipes need replacing..

Sorry about the big picture but its pipe number 5 and elbow pipe number 3..

Do I have to go to a main dealer or can I get them else where..
Should I replace all the pipes or just the ones that I need..

Thanks for any help

Tony

Hey Tony - Heide at T.H.S Castleford would be able to order you the required parts if you live anywhere near west Yorkshire.

T.H.S
204 Holeywell Lane
Castleford
West Yorkshire
WF10 3HH

Phone:01977 518886

Not much help but better than nothing.

Re: 1994 Oil Tank Pipes

The 90 degree elbow pipe is 62494-94A

The flexible hose is 63542-94A

If you can't get the elbow or you are not too bothered about originality you could buy a length of 3/8" braided hose and cut it to fit, securing it with jublilee clips at either end and making sure there are no kinks in it.

I wouldn't try re-using the wire clamps that you release with pliers. Mine leaked all over the place when I re-attached it to the oil tank.

Re: 1994 Oil Tank Pipes

Thanks for the part numbers Bilbo...

Where can I find a parts catalogue for a 1994 Sportster because I am bound to need some other stuff?

Re: 1994 Oil Tank Pipes

Are you sitting down? It's about £45 and is part No 99451-94.

Order from Jersey HD or similar, or you could try your hand on ebay.

Re: 1994 Oil Tank Pipes

£45 !!!!! They know how to get you...Does it have an ISBN number. Will see if my local library can get it, borrow it from them for a couple of months or untill I finish the build then give it back..

I've got the pipe sorted now and the 90* Elbow wasn't to bad..

Thanks For The Help
