| Sportie with indigestion
Really strange experience with my 07 1200 C. after switching off, keys out I heard what can only be described as a quiet f*rting sound coming from the area of the the air intake ! 20 seconds quiet then a brrr for 2-3 seconds and repeating over and over again.. I am guessing it was some kind of chattering fuel valve in the fuel injection system. Switching on electrics and priming the system/ running engine - no difference. I had a brainwave and took off the the fuel cap and then finally it was ok after shutting down. Perhaps some kind of vacuum in the tank was interfering with the system. Wierd and a little bit scary - could have run down my battery if i had gone away an left it for a day. anyone had anything like this, got an opinion on what it was ? By the way this is not a p*ss take !

Be prepared for lots of reading but I'm sure your answer is here. WTF? Why is my IAC cycling when the bike is off? - The Sportster and Buell Motorcycle Forum

May be a malfunctioning idle pintle motor. Keep a sharp ear out that it does not continue. It will need replacing.

Nick beat me to it. We have seen quite a few malfunction on 07's. More often on Big Twins than Sporties. They either keep cycling or cause the bike to start stalling when pulling to a stop. If it won't stop cycling, disconnect it at the top.
