| My coksic
After riding my Sporty for a while i have to stop for a minute to take the pressure of my painful coksic. And it is painfull! Is there something wrong with my coksic or is it my saddle? Somebody told me to get a Mustang. But they are so pricey especially when they come from the states. Does anyone know who in the UK does Mustangs. Or is it the suspension. Does anyone else have this problem. I ride an 05 Sporty 883 Low. Can anyone help please. Martin |

| Re: My coksic
Probably its the seat, i am 6" and ride with forward controls soit meant that i sat furthur back than usual and i had similar trouble with my sundowner saddle - the bit that rises to seperate the rider/pillion used to push into that area of my back. I bought an old Lepera seat had it recoverd with a 1" extra layer of extra dense foam - no problems now! sf |

Thanks For your post. I have had forward controls fitted. But i had this problem before. I have a solo seat so there is no centre bit. Where can i can i get one of those seats you had fitted. Is a Sundowner the standard seat fitted to a Sporty. Martin. PS Where did you get your new seat from. |

| Re: My coksic Here you go: Custom Cruisers UK Motorcycle Parts and Accessories for Cruiser Motorcycles I bought mine from them and they were really helpful. I have the Fastback and the difference from the stock seat is like night and day! Cheers, OR...... |

| Re: My coksic
The sundowner is great for passengers but I find it scoots me too close to the tank compared to the stock seat. I'm forver pushing back and reajusting which causes discomfort after a while. The stock seat for one up riding is much better IMO. I also have a Le Pera solo seat which is very comfortable in shape but has less padding. Have done 1,500 miles in the last month with no twinges and thats with a boloxed pelvis.

If youve got stock shocks then change them, youll find that will make a differance......

| Re: My coksic
I have Hagons all round and have left them as supplied as I really don't have enough experience with the bike yet to make changes. Saying that though the difference between stock & the Hagons out of the box settings were like night & day. No more bottoming out at all. More confidence in corners and braking plus not so battered about at journeys end. Well worth the £220.oo for both ends changed over investment.

I then got an FXR and had the same problem. I then bought a Mustang square back seat......it's fantastic, i dont get any back pains at all, it's like an armchair. It supports your lower back very well. Yes expensive but the how much misery are you in when your out riding for an hour. Link below for the seat but depends on year. I bought mine direct from Mustang and they were very helpful. Cost of seat and import duty was still cheaper that buying in this country. I know there arew people that say dont buy from the States. Custom Squareback™ [75589] - $309.00 : Mustang Motorcycle Products, Inc., What a Difference Comfort Makes! I must have spent this amount easily on other seat from jumbles and places, but htis
