backrest

been scouring the net for a back rest for a 2009 xl 883r, im either looking in the wrong place or there so difficult to find, any help please would be much appreciated

Sissy bar and pad are what you need.
Just need to choose detachable or fixed.

You must choose whether you want fixed or removable. How much riding do you do 2 up? Would you rather not have a rest when solo? Another thing is the height of the bar and shape of the pad. look about and when you find something you think is right measure it. There are lots of sizes. Ebay or the suppliers here may have something to suit.

to be honest urrell, i thought a backrest was a backrest,but looking for a permanent fixture about mid back height for the pad

Mine is fixed and the bar is 16" tall.
