engine oil leak

I'm leaking a small amount of oil from 1/2 way up the front of the front cylinder on my 2007 sporty 1200R.
The rocker heads were replaced on both cylinders at 10,000 miles but this is now happening at 40,000+ miles.
Could be expensive - any thoughts?
Any good harley repairers, out side main dealerships, in Somerset, Dorset, Gloucester, Avon area to be recommended?

thanks
Rich

What exactly was replaced - the rockers or the heads? Sounds like a head gasket leak .. About 4 hours work to replace the heads .. I have no idea what a dealer would charge.

Re: engine oil leak

I would think the head gasket a swell, replace with good ones and make sure head is torqued down correctly to the gasket manufacturers recommendations.

Can you post a pic of where the leak is? If its the rocker box or its cover then its not a big job. If its the cylinder gasket its a bit more.

I'd not hesitate to recommend Phil at Fatboyz Diner, he 's a club member, offers a club discount to members and, most importantly, knows his bikes inside out. He's in Hilperton, Wiltshire.

There's a link to his details in the club suppliers section. If I knew how to do it I'd post a link here, but I dont. Sorry!

Regards

Alan

Without parts dealers charge around 90 an hour, yes bloody expensive, go to an independent.
