| proberly a stupid question/oil filler cap
but im trying to check oil on sporty it being my first sporty and only been riding it a week ie push down let it pop up and then pull up and turn 1/4 turn ainty clock wise but thing is it sont seem to want move and as it look more plastic that metal in there i was woried to pull twist it any harder as i was already doing prity hard the thing will snap off how stiff are they? are they known to jam up a bit |

After it pops up, just turn it anti-clockwise. They are a little stiff. It will come out. Check it after it has been running & warm.

Like wot Phil said. They've got a reputation for being stiff. Rubber gloves help and have the additional benefit of giving you a kinky thrill, if that's what turns you on. ![]() John |

Dreadful design. Very difficult to undo. On the other side you will find the side panel might well come off when you don't want it to do so. . It is a good idea to tie it on. The temp guage filler caps are a little easier to use.

update managed to get it off but it so tight the chrome cap will come off first then just buy the force needed to turn it then to get it out it will come if you grab it with a rag and twist the hell out of it and same to get it back i suspect it aint been undun may times in its life |
