| handle bars
I've got a pair of Cyclesmiths 12 inch apehangers to fit to my RKC. They're 1 1/4" diameter with reduced diameter in the centre and the ends. My question is....to accomodate the switch housings and the grips, I need at least 7 inches in length. The reduced diameter is only 5 inches long, so it will mean that 2 inches of grip will hang off the end of the bars without any support inside it. Is this going to be ok or should I make a couple of 2 inch extensions and weld them to the end of the bars, and sand them down to original diameter. I hope you understand what I'm going on about. Brian.
