Re: Sculpting foam

When making a plug for a nose cone I PVA'd a number of blocks of oasis together a sculpted from those. Alternatively these guys sell a 2 part part poly foam
http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS...ERIALS_14.html

depends on the size of the part you want to make.

I also tried to fill a carrier bag with DIY type expanding foam but that was just stupid and very messy!

I got fibre glass from them and found them to be very helpful

Re: Sculpting foam

Many craft shops carry it (Michael's, etc.).

Re: Sculpting foam

I have seen some upholsterers in boatyards using a hotwire system whereby they use 240v down through a transformer and out through a hot wire which then cuts through melting the foam.

But the advantage is that it gives a very smooth cut and finish

Making a new seat for the bike. So it might be called seat foam. I remember watching it on a TV program cut it out and sand it down, any shape any size.

Due to the angle of the rear fender a standard seat will not fit. Thought i would mold a seat that will fit my fat A*s then i can ride for miles and miles without having an A*s like a blood orange..
