gps wiring info

Hi all
I have a garmin quest2 which is wired to my winter bike. It would be nice if I could wire it to my deluxe as well. I would only want to use it on the Harley a few times a year. So my question is, has anyone fitted some sort of plug/socket arrangement within the garmin wiring so that the whole thing can be quickly and easily removed from the bike but leaving the plug wired to the bike?
I thought maybe an optimateIII plug might work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: gps wiring info

Hi got a quest 2 on my roadking. I've used the motorcycle mount prt. no 010-10610-00. with a ram mount. I cut down the wireing fitted a cig lighter style plug and put a socket inside the nacelle so out of the weather running on the aux circuit. I can remove the quest from the unit in seconds or the who thing in about a minute.I'am replying to this at work so when i get home will try to post a pic.

Re: gps wiring info

I have wired mine on to a connector that fits in to the optimate lead,it runs under the fuel tank and up thru where the handle-bars meet the risers, hardly any cable showing at all,if i can do it anyone can, fuel tank was not removed and gps cable secured with cable ties to the fuel pipes.
The pictures i have aint much good to you, they only show the gps attached and not the wiring.

This may help.

These may be useful, bulkhead fitting that connects to Battery Tender plug.
