UK or USA Exhausts - need info

I heard that exhausts from the USA are not compatable with the ,UK Harley bikes.Is this correct.if so what is the differance.I`ve been in touch with a few harley dealers in the states and they say they have sold a loads of pipes,ie V&H long shot`s ,big radious ect to UK costomers for there 2007 models,and have had no problems.Can somone please shed some light on this.As the USA is half the price than over here..

Try giving V and H UK or the Samson distributer a ring, play it like you're asking a dumb question and maybe they won't blank you for trying to buy abroad.

I think the situation is as always for the TC bikes. The engine and frame are the same, USA or export, the differences are indicators, lights and fuel injection setup. You've got the sensor in the header so as long as any pipe you order has this or you go the route of deactivating these any 2007 compatible Vance and Hines, Samson etc price can be obtained from the USA at half the UK price, then add you shipping and the VAT and Customs charges, Exhaust pipes are unlikely to slip in unseen. Unless you go on holiday and have a big case.

I'm going to Chicago in June or July but I am a bit worried about putting two long shot gun shaped pipes in my suitcase! If you see the story in the press you will know it is me!
