Re: Heads Up : Bike lift

Got one similar. If you have a Dyna you need some extra bits from harley. Sort of blocks that go on the fram so you don't lift the bike by the wrong bits. Takes a bit a jigging around but once its up, its not a bad lift. Yer need to tye it down though sort of wobbles a bit.

Anyone whos a grumpy old fart like me with a bad back it will keep ya polishing, where as if you were on yer knees you would have given up. What the freck am I on about??? Anyway cheap lift (very heavy) oh and that part number for the Dyna bits is 98965-99. Got my plastioc block thingys from Guernsey HD about £25

Re: Heads Up : Bike lift

I have just bought a lift (Americana 2) as shown here
M & P - Product Information for 548135

My bike is a DYNA Low rider (2007) and I wondered if I need to get the modification mentioned above Part No: 98965-99

Re: Heads Up : Bike lift

bought one from makro a couple of years ago, they are well built, and will lift a fully dressed glide with ease.

Hi mate, I think all the Dyna's are the same on the bottom of the frame. The harely lift is the same as the America 2 apart from the way you jack up the bike, but harley recommend these blocks to go on the Dyna. Anyway once we jiggled it about a bit we managed to get the bike on the lift. But yes mate you do need these extra blocks, and tie it down with some tie downs or Hog Ties. I got similar from halfords and cost probably half the price
