| Front light glass cracked / hole
The glass on my FXDGW headlamp has cracked and there is a hole about 5 ml across. Getting a replacement via Geurnsey could take 4-6 weeks and I wondered whether anyone on here has tried any of the windscreen stone chip products as a temporary repair. I am not sure whether this would stuff up the lighting pattern so I would blind oncoming traffic etc Any help in terms of recommendations would be much appreciated. When this happened on my '05 Sporty with the smooth type lens I did a "Blue Peter favourite" ie. clear sticky back plastic, over the lens to hold the glass in and keep the water out, which it did very well even under the ultimate test of a torrential thunderstorm and waited for the replacement to arrive. |
