Hi Guys I have a 1996 Fatboy with some black paint missing from the transmission, does anybody know of a paint that will match the old stuff exactly? Cheers Birley. |

CCI (and others) still supply Spectro Wrinkle finish paint. Good results can be obtained using this. PM me for more info.

HD's own costs about twelve quid for a touch up bottle.

| Re: Black case paint You need HD Texture Black, £12.36 from Guernsey HD. Rattle can aerosol. I`ve just used some on me `97 Fatboy. Good stuff, exact same stuff that your bike was sprayed with when it left the factory. Highly recomended as its an exact match.

Water proof black marker works quite well at a pinch

Hi, I have just used some stuff called Zip (also known as Zebo). It is actually for black fire grates and Agas but it is also brilliant for Harley black engine casings. Very simple to use, wipe on - wipe off. I got some off Ebay for £3.99. Money well spent. ![]() Cheers, Roly. |
