| Battery Status Monitor
After having an alternator failure recently, I have become paranoid about checking that the charging system is working OK on my 2000 FXDX  Today, Limey Dave and I talked about Battery Status Monitors - the modern version of checking voltage in the battery. I have just ordered one from A O Services - at £20 - to fit on the handlebars. AO Services - Battery Status Monitor specification Will let you know how it works. Kev

Kuryakyn do a very tidy little battery condition gauge witch is simple to wire any live and earth, Had one for two years a good extra john

I bought this from the states brilliant bit of kit  Includes voltage monitoring from 11.0V to 16.0V with thermometer, ice alert, clock, stop watch and lap counter. Runs off 12V bike power and is lighted. Also has remote sensor for temperature. Attaches with Velcro. Size is 5-1/2" L x 1" H x 3/4" D. $22.

You could mount one of these!  It a HD voltage gauge and single mount for handlebars.  HD voltmeter form the side showing clearance between gauge back and stem nut.  The coin holder is a 'gift' from a friend. LOL
