Re: Brake pad retaining screw

A good teacher knows that the best-quality textbooks give the greatest service.

Clymer? On a bike worth well over ten grand?

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt! WRONG!

Try the factory manual. Use Clymer as a back-up or for alternative diagrams.

I just spend fifty quid on a factory Shovel manual for my FXWG. But it's worth it.....

That'll be two funny drawings then.
Or can we do lines instead?

Best I've found for Factory Manual is here

Harley-Davidson Guernsey - Harley Parts

For Manual and Parts Book here

lshd1 Home Page

Ask Bill to combine postage.
On the pair I saved about £35 compared to Guernsey.

Re: Brake pad retaining screw

Actually chaps - I don't use any text books 'coz I'm a brilliant art teacher and those things just inhibit creativity

I have to admit though that I didn't check the Factory Manual (I have one you see) because I was in a hurry and the Clymer was closer to hand ie in the garage with me and not back in the house I suppose it'll teach me a lesson then eh?

Thanks for the info on the parts manual Dave d'you think he might have one for an '89 sporty? I can't seem to find one anywhere and I really want to start putting the engine back together but I need a few bits (Like a primary drive and gearbox) I have got a Factory manual for that though and I will be using it 'coz it's in the garage with the rest of the sporty.

Re: Brake pad retaining screw

There's a part no search box on the home page.
For one book only I'd also check Gnsy HD.

Still not quite there . Tried a couple of local tool shops plus Halfords but no luck, tried to ring Snap-on to get a number for a local franchisee - no luck, so phoned FatBoyz Diner, they have one and will sort it out after returning from a Goldwing () rally tomorrow.
