| Re: Brake pad retaining screw Yep - it's definitely a 1/4" 12 point socket. If you haven't got one then if Tony doesn't have another one you can get them from FatBoyz Diner for about £5 with the postage (That's just an estimate - I don't really know the price) One word of warning though - when you re-tighten the pad retaining pins, be careful. I think that the torque settings in the manual are far too high. 24 ft/lb I think it was and I gradually increased it from 15 but the thread did 'feel' like it was stretching after about 18 ft/lb so I didn't go any further. Would be a real bummer to snap one of those off. Hope it goes ok ![]()

Recheck your manual,think you'll find CALIPER BOLTS 28-38 ft-lbs = 37.9-51.5 Nm PAD PINS 180-300 in-lbs = 20.3-22.6 Nm = 15-16.5 ft-lbs ![]() |

21. Tighten the pad pin bolts (Figure 24) to 180-200 in-lb (20 - 30 ft-lb.) The MoCo manual might say as you do but I haven't checked that, I was working from the Clymer manual for TC88B 2000-2005. Thanks for the advice though 'coz it made me recheck them and they're torqued up to 18ft-lb ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

As for the old saying - well I do both and I do loads of Martial (Not Marital) Arts so does that mean because I don't teach Kenjutsu and Iaido I actually can do them? Amazing, yer see I thought that being a Karate & Judo teacher meant that I could actually do the stuff ![]() Oh yeah I should point out that I'm an art teacher as well so as long as I've got me crayon to wield then I worry about no one taking the proverbial 'coz if they do then I'l just do a silly drawing of them and stick it somewhere for everybody to see, and won't that make them feel special eh? ![]()
