| Re: Roadking tyres I run Avon Venoms on my 03 Road King. I put them on last October. They are a great improvement over the Dunlops. I run 38 psi front and 45 psi rear as advised by the Avon tech man. Brian.

| Re: Roadking tyres Me yes born....again....NOT! ........... riding since 1968 >>>See Here...LOLNot had a break but not only do I find Metzler's, Continentals and Avon's better I find them cheaper for wide white walls. They MAY be better now but I personally would not bother trying them out again if I had to buy a new set. BUT I would wear them out using them if I bought a new bike like I did back in '03. ![]() As they say all to their own and how they feel when riding and whatever you are comfortable with, that's my motto, but when asked the question I just say what I use and read the previous threads. ![]() |

| Re: Roadking tyres well thats baza's excuse cleared up ..as i say i might be wrong....but it did get me wondering....my local bike cafe (squires) is full of born agains.....hence the large number of dropped bikes of late ..all the gear no idea brigade....and yeah i realise the other makes are cheaper some, by a substantial amount!!!....as yet im happy the the d'lops..next time we will see![]()

| Re: Roadking tyres Lee The standard HD tyres are designed for American appliccian hence they are a relatively hard compound to give reasobnable wear when doing thousand of miles in hot conditions (110°F +) , not the wet twisties like in the UK. I switched from D/lop to Venoms and the difference in sure footedness is palpable! The d/lops would twitch on white lines and manholes which resulted in ridges in the saddle that remained long after I got off the bike. ![]() S
