| VMCC Meet Parbold Hill Boxing Day
Hi all. Even though i have an 883 i also have other bikes, 70's and 80's jap stuff. A few of my friends are into Vintage bikes and active members of VMCC and as usual we are meeting up Parbold Hill, Lancs, on Boxing day. Some of the guys will go on a run and others will stand trying to keep warm. The meet is of course open to anyone with a bike and brave enough to get to Parbold Hill, in winter looking over the Lancs west coast can be bloody cold. People meet from 10.00 am onwards, always a good crowd and upto 200 bikes. Not sure if i'll go on the 883 or the XBR500, depends on weather and the moment. Bigbol. Hi That sounds great and is just up the road from me. Unfortrunately both my old bikes are getting a bit of love over winter and are months away from being back together. Have a good ride out and maybe i'll see you lot buzzing around the local roads Cheers Roger |

Out of Interest Roger, what old bikes do you have? I have a good friend always on the look out for old bikes and often selling some. As for Parbold Hill, beautiful spot but damn cold up there in winter. Have a good one. Colm

To anyone who maybe interested. Parbold Hill meet went down very well, bikes started to arrive from 09:30, me included on my 883 and my mate and his son on their HRD Vincent. Weather was great though a little breeze made it a little nippy. Approx 300 bikes arrived and went by about 12:00, some riders going for a run around the local area. It's a shame the Wiggin Tree pub does not open for the meeting, they could have made a little money. However, one of the organises provides Tea and Coffee with donation going to the Air Ambulance. There was also a lot of old Tractors driving passed at about 12:00pm. Great for the local traffic, but what ever floats your boat. Next meeting for VMCC in the area is Worden Park, Leyland on the 4th of Jan. All the best everyone. Colm
