| CHARITY RIDE-IN TO ACE CAFE Sunday 9th August 11.30am - 2pm CHARITY RIDE-IN TO ACE CAFE Sunday 9th August 11.30am - 2pm Shaun Wright-Phillips Leads the Way in Charity Harley-Davidson Ride Wright-Phillips spearheads charity fundraiser in aid of Education for the Children Foundation Sponsored charity motorbike ride in association with Harley-Davidson The 2009 charity motorbike ride starts at the Warrs Harley-Davidson dealership, 611 Kings Road, London SW6 2EL at 9am with a stop off at the famous Ace Cafe, Ace Corner, North Circular Rd, London, NW10 7UD at around 11.30am to approx. 2pm, before turning back to the Sanctum Soho Hotel, London, 20 Warwick Street, London W1B 5NF, where all participants will be invited to watch the Charity Shield football match on television. There will be interviews and a photo-call at Warrs at 9am till 10.30am and media interviews can also be organised at the Ace Cafe. There are several premiership footballers expected on the ride, including Wayne Bridge (Manchester City), Micah Richards (Manchester City), Nigel Reo-Coker (Aston Villa), Steve Sidwell (Aston Villa), Nicholas Bendtner (Arsenal), as well as TV celebrities Nick Knowles and Matt Willis. All the premiership footballers will be riding custom-made three wheeled choppers because their football contracts prohibit them from riding two wheeled motorcycles, but all motorbike enthusiasts are welcome to join in the ride as long as they make a minimum £50 donation to the charity. Last year, the ride raised over £20,000 for Education for the Children, and placed the media spotlight on this most worthwhile charity which builds schools and safe-houses for neglected children in Central America. Shaun said: “The Education for the Children charity is an amazing cause. I was lucky enough to visit the village of San Felipe in Guatemala last year to catch up with the children and see how things are getting on with the schools and safe houses. All of these projects and more have benefited from our fund raising efforts. “As ambassador for the charity it’s my duty to raise as much money as possible so the good work can continue. The kids there have very little, and few of the opportunities that I took for granted growing up in the UK, and I’m really committed to trying to help the children to get an education and the chance for a better life. Please go to my website and read about the plight of the children there and I hope you can donate some money to the cause.” For more details about Education for the Children go to Education For The Children And to make a donation to the charity for accreditation go toShaun Wright-Phillips is fundraising for Education For The Children Foundation - JustGiving For more info call: Feben Iyassu or Sean O’Brien @ AOB Communications (W) 020 7485 3222 (M) 07771 892 952 feben@austinobrien.co.uk sean@austinobrien.co.uk Kind Regards LINDA WILSMORE Ace Cafe London |
