Re: Warr's London garage Sale Sunday 1st Feb

Sunday could be a bit chilly but dry and bright

Anyone fancy blowing the cobwebs off and riding down??

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms - I need to ride somewhere.

I would aim to get down there for 10am - so leaving mid Beds around 9am.

Anyone wanna meet up along the way??

North Wales May-hem 2009

Ponderosa Cafe, Horseshoe Pass,
Saturday 16th May, 2009.
Start times between 10 am and 'noon.

This is a day long event organised on behalf of Region 29, North Wales but all members and non-members are welcome to attend.

The rally takes the form of a orienteering trial with competitors given a map showing the location of scoring way-points. The rider who collects the most points within the alloted time is the winner and there may even be a prize!

Finishing point on the Saturday will be at a North Wales pub with nearby camping, (location to be announced closer to the date). Competitors and even those not taking part in the actual event are welcome to join us afterwards for an evening of eating, drinking, laughing and chatting. The only cost for the whole event will be for the Saturday nights camping for those who decide to stay over.

PM me for further details.

Nottinghamshire easter egg run

Dear Fellow Bikers

One for your diary:

The Nottinghamshire Motorcycle Easter Egg Run will take place this year on Sunday April 5th 2009 and will be hosted for the third consecutive year by Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.

Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service extends a warm invitation to all members of the club, friends and family to attend this event. It is our hope to get as many bikers and types of motorcycle as possible to attend and donate an Easter egg or two (or monetary donation towards Easter eggs and day trips) which is in aid of disadvantaged children within the community.

A partnership with the Air Ambulance Trust will see additional fundraising for the Air Ambulance at this event for the first time. You are welcome to free tea and coffee whilst you mingle between the trade stands, a Helmet Removal Demonstration and advice on what to do in the event of an accident, raffle and giveaways and free entrance to the Fire Service Museum which is also located on this site.

The run will start at ‘The Forest Recreation Ground’ (known as the Goose Fair Site) at 09:30hrs for a 10:00hrs ‘ride-off’, and finishes at Mansfield Fire Station where eggs and donations will be collected and distributed by Fire Service personnel.

Start Location:
The Forest Recreation Ground (known as the Goose Fair Site) is situated in the city of Nottingham surrounded by Gregory Boulevard, A60 Mansfield Road, Forest Road East, Mount Hooton Road and Noel Street. Access to the site is from the A60 Mansfield Road end next to Forest Road East.
The GPS co-ordinates for the start are: E456932 N341361 LAT 52.9654 LONG -1.1533

Finish Location:
Mansfield Fire Station, Rosemary Street, Mansfield, NG19 6AB. Located at the top end of Rosemary Street half-way between Westfield Lane and Chesterfield Road South.
The GPS co-ordinates for the finish are: E453261 N361699 LAT 53.1496 LONG -1.2056

For further details please contact Crew Manager Tim Marston on 0115 9421555 or 07816 148023, or email him at tim.marston@notts-fire.gov.uk or nottsmotorcycleeggrun@yahoo.com to get your copy of event details and map.

Re: Bristol Classic Bike Show

We had a great show, thanks to the guys and gals from Regions 12,14 and 19 that helped man the stand and all the members that called in for a chat. We had a lot of interest from people all over the south, from east Kent to South Wales, Birmingham to Cornwall. They mainly wanted something different from the other harley clubs, more laid back and the riding and socialising, but didn't know we existed. They all took away information and membership forms so hopefully we will be seeing new faces popping up here and there.
thanks again
Iain
