| Oil trouble?
Bought 1996 Road King done only 42,000 dry miles, brought it over here! After only doing 200 miles since I have got it was at lights waiting to go and there was slight smoke coming from engine. Next day in my garage I checked the oil and it was under the limit prescribed on the stick on a cold day. Question is what type to use etc as it is an Evo is a multi grade SAE20W-50 or will another do? How much is best to put it in, as the seller from a reputable garage across did say that it had been serviced etc etc etc , but lack of oil after onyl a few miles is this normal routine? Oh by the way it went throught the Manx Test and it has Screaming Eagle stage 2 Tuning Pack on it and no problems there! |

Get yourself a new filter and fresh oil, good quality 20/50 is fine and give it an oil change and see how you go, check it regularly and see if its using oil. If it is using a lot you are gonna have to start looking as to where its going. As far as the amount you need to put in, just fill it to the level on the dipstick run the bike and check it if it needs toping up top it up, run it for a few miles and check it again. Check it like the handbook/manual tells you, usually when its hot, and with an evo roadking i aint sure if the bike has to be on its side stand or upright.
