On a serious note...

... we paid our respects at the tomb of the unknown sausage today - very moving ceremony. I can't say any more - it is such a very sad occasion.

On a lighter note - Bloody well done Hippy, Cliff. Carl and the rest of the ratbags from the lakes - what a brilliant rally. Biggest (and best) of the year (not Hippy's belly) with about 600 people some of whom were not rounded up at gunpoint.

Great bands - The glam-rock session was a hoot. Hippy said 'That lead guitarist has got a great arse'. When told it was a bloke in spandex with a long blong wig he said - "I know that, what a great arse"

Congratulations to Gypsy for winning the longest distance travelled by a female, 834 miles from Kent to Cumbria. Gyspsy admitted to having and identity crisis and a f*cked sat-nav. Please note he wishes to be called Betty in future. NB Gyspsy will be attending the next committee meeting to explain his conduct.

It was an excellent Rally. Great turn-out and the Guys and Gals that organised it did a superb job, made one very proud to be a member of the Lakes region that's for sure. I heard a rumour that the Glam rock "guy" was in fact you doing a bit of moonlighting, is that true? .
