All true but a good group of Harleys rolling allong in the parade will look good and lets face it one of us will get our money back at some point

Remember it's for charity (Great North Air Ambulance)

Or is charity just for "hoggies"??

Re: Kendal Torchlight Festival

We'll be adopting a rolling formation of two stationary columns. The bike at the back rides through the centre down to the front then stops giving time to slip into neutral and relax until you're at the back again. The overall effect will be very slow forward progress but much less stress for bike and left wrist.

Hope to see you tomorrow night. We should be joined by four gold wings from the Carlisle area, four from S Lakes Triumph. 8 from Boundary500, most couldn't get away from work quickly enough even though it is poets day, or we'd have about 30. Apparently there are a couple coming from Lincs and a few other "independants". Should be good.

Re: Kendal Torchlight Festival

On behalf of the GNAAS, a huge thanks to those who turned up tonight, It made all the difference and from the front of our "Float" the noise was tremendous. You could see spectators straining to get a better view of the "real" bikes

Obviously, it being the first time bikes have done the Torchlight in that manner there were teething problems and because we effectively lost our pedestrians, the collection total will be down on what it might have been. Nonetheless, when all the cash was gathered, we'd filled two of the buckets. As soon as I get a total I'll post it here.

I think if we do it again (we have been invited back) we can organise ourselves better and make much more. As it is, we've pulled off some excellent PR for the GNAAS and the motorcycling fraternity and I for one though it was a hoot.

Some of the Boundary lads and the GNAAS took pics, I'll post more in due course.

Some more pics here:

Once again, Thanks, pleasure riding with you.
