Show The Flag 2009 - St George's Day

Advance Notice………. on Saturday 25th April - The London Region is again riding in the St Georges Day Parade, Whitton (near Twickenham). We've had a good turn-out for the last few years and we are always the highlight of the parade. Let's see if we can field a bigger contingent this year. If any of our country cousins are up for it they'd be most welcome.

They are really looking forward to us participating again and the organisers have reserved parking for us outside my local - The Admiral Nelson - after the parade for you to show off your pride and joy….. And maybe a pint from the London Region coffers.

Harleys only I'm afraid.

We meet at the local school -
see http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=514061&y=173959&z=0&sv=tw2+7bu&st=2&p c=tw2+7bu&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf
- time to be confirmed later - but it's usually about a 10:30 kick-off..

I'd be very grateful if you'd let me know if you are interested - if everyone responds we may have to limit numbers.

I'll also remind you all nearer the time.

Cheers,

Tony PYRO Dowden

IMPORTANT - IF YOU KNOW ANY MEMBERS - OR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS - WHO ARE NOT
ON EMAIL PLEASE LET THEM KNOW….

Watcha Tony I'll try and rally the troops in region 13 for this again as I always do but a few of us will be at Talgarth.

I am sure it will be a great success as usual...

Then a beer courtesy of the region

Brokeback,

See the comment above re. London coffers - how could you miss that? Don't worry, as per usual, the gentlemen of London will be pleased to treat you and your bunch to a pint in the "Nelson". It's worth it for your continued stalwart support of this inportant event.

Plus I see you've included a picture from the 2006 ride (not the 2007 or 2008) 'cos it's got the one-and-only you at the front - what a surprise!

Cheers,

Pyro

Re: Show The Flag 2009 - St George's Day

Scotty,

The last time I looked - the Club I belong to was a Harley-Davidson Rider's Club - and that's who our contingent will be representing.

That said, if you want to join in riding a Triumph/BSA/Kawasaki/Ural I can put you in touch with the organisers and you can sort out your own group - I'm sure you would be more than welcome.

Tony

Ken,

As ever, our much-loved mates from the wilds of Sussex are more than welcome to join us - and will be offered the usual London hospitality of FREE BEER! Hope to see as many of you there as possible - odd or not.

Cheers,

Tony
