Yo Peter

Nice to have met you, and a very nice looking bike you had there.

Sorry you could not make it all the way down with us. Hope the problems encountered are easily and cheaply sorted.

Re: Brighton Burn Up...Ace Cafe Reunion 13th sep.

hi all,

was good to meet you and thanks for letting me ride down with you. AS i explained am shaking down the bike before paint and only 250 miles on the (non existant) speedo. The problem was fuel starvation. It relates to the siting of the petcock (quite far forward) and / or the height of the petcock inlet inside the tank. So even though fuel in there it had reached below the level. Fortunately satnav told me a BP was 0.3 of a mile away in Upper Beeding and I managed to shake enought fuel in there to get to it.

However I didn't want to continue on on my own due to my bike missing various items and was still a useful trip for me, as no other problems surfaced. I will ride it once more before paint, there is a Custom Show in Chessington early October then it will defo be pulled apart.

Thanks again guys, I hope we can meet up again in the near future for a ride.

Peter

Hi Dave

Sorry I only caught you Batters and Pete as you were leaving, but hope to catch up on thurs.
Didn't have one of your biccies as the cake was scumptious! Went back more than once.
Thanks I believe to Mrs badnamemike for her baking skills, And to those earlybird Toasters who got the tent up at sparrowsfart, allowing us Lundunas to swan in at a respectable hour, scoff the tea and goodies and swan off home again!
Thanks guys.
I have Pyro to thank for this ploy.
Can you do it all again for Brightona in October?

Live to Ride...............Ride like a big girls blouse, me
