Re: Benifits of membership.

I went to the club site looking for info and followed the link to this site.I read the disclaimer on this site so new the score but to me they are one and the same. It's mainly club members using this forum to talk as if at a club night.I liked what I saw and joined, the fact I could do it online just meant I did it sooner. Not everything in the 'quin gets on here,a couple of issues back there was a good story by a guy with a pan with shovel top end.He doesn't do computers which is a shame,I'd like to have seen more pics.

LV why not join then you can have a real quality moan as a disgruntled member.

Re: Benefits of membership.

I'm very confused with this tread,. It seems to state the cons of joining a club - but being a tyke I need to know what I'm getting for my membership fee??? Any chance of a list.

Looks like tool hire for one and discounts at various retailers. Anything else?

Club magazine discounts to most rallies plus save £10 at our international alone.

I think you're missing the point of being a club member, there are financial benefits, but that has no bearing whatsoever on my reason for joining. It makes me laugh when I read posts of that nature. If you're looking for financial gain, join a Christmas Savers Club, lol.

It would be useful to have a brief statement of the Club's objectives, along with benefits for members, in a prominent place on the website. We can all guess, but clarity (in the current political climate!) is a jolly good thing.

Re: Benefits of membership.

For us the hrcgb opened up a new way of meeting other people who like us arived late on the bike scene. The return of friendship that we have met on our rideouts and rallies has been fantastic The bowling nights. The monthy meetings gets us out of the bloody house. And lets us plan future days and w/ends away.Thats just some of the benifits that have enriched our lives all for £30.

Cool Re: Benefits of membership.

WELL
Not sure if this is where to ask this ???.
I live across the pond in the states in Arizona and ride all year round and have been riding harleys for yaers. My latest one is an 06 Ultra Classic with 87k miles on it all by me in the last 3.25 years. Been riding since 1968 in one form or another.
But, to get to the point can I join as a member even if I'm not in GB right now? I was born in Dersingham and my stepfather was US Airman and moved us to the states in "63".
I feel that to have gotten the benifits of all the help and answers that I have gotten from the forum it would be good to support the club. I have reviewed and gotten answers to ?'s just by reading all the post here.

thanks Andy
