Talking Took the plunge

Well, after being a guest since March, and receiving a shed-load of help in the Vintage Tech Section (and being nagged by Mrs ES), I finally took the plunge and signed up. I'll do the update thing when the paperwork arrives, but in the meantime here's an 'official' hello from region 12.

May could be a bit optimistic Dave (as could 185 miles each way), but I'll give it a go.

It's easier than you might think Steve. Took mine to Mallory Park in July, over 500 miles round trip, and had very little trouble. One fouled plug on the way there, and a screw fell out of the clutch arm on the way back. This on an "older restoration" which by my own admission needs a bit of tidying.

You'll learn to live with a 50 mph cruising speed, just avoid motorways if you can as they'll bore the pants off you. At that speed the vibes are not intrusive, and that seat is a lot more comfortable than it might look. You'll give up before the bike does!

Welcome to the Club BTW, good to have you on board.
