Was implemented this year, and next year those of us who are members this year the rejoining fee will be just £25.00

If someone has been a member for years but didn't rejoin this year they will pay the extra ''Joining Fee''

Yes and they join from Jan 1st , so if they pay for continuous membership...

Anyone joining on 18 months in June will loose their number

A: Everybody in the Club pays the joining fee once - it covers the cost of the new membership patch and welcome pack which everyone will receive.
Q: When do I get this pack/Patch?
A: The patch isn't designed, yet. See the competition in the 'Quin. It will go out with your Feb/March magazine.
Yo - what's the progress on this?

Re: New membership fees from December 2011

Pity there was not a reduced rate for members who...

Dont want the Quin, and cannot go to rally`s/ meets etc for for various reasons. ie Age/Health issue`s/Financial.. etc but still own a Harley..

I`m sure there are a few that would like to do a Rally once in a while. but feel they cannot get the perks of reduced entrance.. and feel they are being penalised because they are not "Paid up Members".. But would still like to be classed as a "Full Member"...

We have reduced the membership fees to loyal members that renewed and newbies that joined this year.....

From £36 to £26 next year for people that are club members in 2012, how cheap is that? The online quin was asked for by members and also requested was to not reduce membership if opting out of having the quin, it's a way of helping the club financially.

Overseas members if they play their cards right can now save the EXTRA £17 overseas postage by reading the quin on line and not having it delivered to them presumably if they have a UK address to have their card sent to they will still pay the same as a UK member.

You say ''Dont want the Quin, and cannot go to rally`s/ meets etc for for various reasons. ie Age/Health issue`s/Financial.. etc but still own a Harley..''

Out of the circa 1300 members most don't do rallies or meets but I have yet to read anyone complaining here or in the quin, if we were skint I'm sure I would not still have the Harley Helen would put pay to that.

There is of course the ''Social Membership'' category for past members who no longer ride/own a Harley and they can still participate at meets, rallies [B&B maybe] and here on the site and get a quin delivered and show as Club Member.

Your last paragraph re once in a while attendance at rallies, well if these people whoever they are?.....did one rally they are not paying too much extra as a guest for a one off, do you know of any organisation that will reduce rates for not using the facilities but may use them when they feel like it?

Re: New membership fees from December 2011

Thanks for the explanation Baza...

Perhaps I should become a social member then.. But still would not want the Quin..

How do you go about that. (Joining as a social member)..

Or perhaps being marked as a "Member" and if you pay a "Subscriber"...

Cos at the end of the day I`m pretty sure some (Me included) would like to be categorised as a member of this fine club.. and not just a guest...

Re: New membership fees from December 2011

Seeing as [social membership] is the same price as full membership you may as well rejoin as you still own a H-D. HOWEVER if you joined this month backdated to Jan 1st 2012 you would then get the new £26 membership cost next Jan. BUT if you rejoined this month for 18 months starting July until Dec 2013 you would be paying full whack [about £52] for the 18 months and have a NEW membership number like a newbie gets.
