AGM Post Script

Well the AGM has been and gone with another fine turn out by most of us with 40 members and associates filling the pub. It was nice to see so many turn out we certainly are a growing region.

It was also good to see all those from the west turn up as it is a long round trip on a cold Sunday. Perhaps we can arrange to make next year's at the 'Shoulder' so the West don't have to travel so far.

There was a big supprise in the stand down of Steve Finney as Assistant Rep due to work commitments and the distance he has to travel to get to a meet. Steve has been a member/rep for many years and is one of the original members of Region 19. I am sure we all wish him well in his endeavours and look foward to seeing him on another rally in the coming season.

This leaves a vacancy for a rep. As John said, anyone wishing to stand should write to him stating their interest in the position. Another meeting will be held to vote on any decision at a later date.

Pubs was another topic raised and it would appear, thanks to Jerry, that The Peartree (Borley Green) will be a good contender as it has more room and a possibility for summer camping in the garden. (I will be starting another thread on this soon)

Also a reminder . We need to help at Rallies, not just one or two but all of us. These Rallies are what most of us enjoy but there is a lot of work involved to make them successful. We all need to do our bit. If you have put your name forward to help at our rally don't be shy. speak to the reps,tell them what you can do. This year we are going it alone at our Rally and it's going to be the best ever.

I have posted these notes to let the people who were unable to attend have an idea of what went on and to remind those who were there what was said.
