Ride for Life 2006

As you all know, the Ride for Life will take place through our region on Sunday 21st May.

We will be carrying the baton from South Mimms Services, Bignalls Corner, Potters Bar, EN6 3QQ to the Little Chef, Countess Road, Amesbury, Salisbury, SP4 7AS a distance of 96 miles.

It is anticipated that the baton will be arriving from up North at around 12:30 on the Sunday and that we will pass it on at around 14:20 or earlier, traffic permitting.

Region 17 will be having their Pitch and Party that weekend at Sheppey Rugby Club. (ME12 3RT). For those attending the rally it will be a gentle, nurse the hangovers, 71 mile run up to South Mimms via the Dartford tunnel. Ready for the run down to Amesbury.

It would be nice to know as early as possible who intends doing the run. Remember the weather will have to be better this year mainly due to the fact that it would be nigh on impossible for it to be worse than last years swimathon.

Whilst this charity may not be your bag, it is a good excuse for a Sunday run out to North of the Thames (bring passports) and back again. And for those doing the Region 17 rally nearly a full circumnavigation of the M25.

Please think about doing the run and let me know.

Wotcha Ricky

Can't make it this year unfortunately , hope the sun shines on your helmet though, as you said it can't be any worse than last year. It was fun though and I will always remember the look on Bills face at Fleet Services when the rain turned horizontal. Won't be able to do the Rally either which is a bummer had hoped to do both.

See ya round, Patrick

Hi Rikki,
I was planning to do this one this year but it clashes with my first week family holiday and I am away, so the weather WILL be brilliant. Sorry again.

Are you taking this one on and organising people Rikki, as I will put folk in touch with you if I get any questions ?

Someone needs to take the bull by the horns as it is a good cause...

Not so much organising as drumming up enthusiasm. However happy to field or pass on any questions that are raised.

Contact either as a PM on the site, e-mail to sportster1200@ntlworld.com or on mobile 07821 403153.

This is the link for the sponsor sheet.pdf, a letter from Annette.pdf and the front cover.pdf - http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43781

Re: Ride for Life 2006

O.K. back to somewhere near the top. For those of you doing Kent see the other thread imaginativly called Kent Pitch and Party. Otherwise think about the run up to South Mimms and back to Amesbury - any excuse for a ride
