Super Rally 2007 Bussloo

Can I be a pest and ask that those going meet at Winchester services on the M3 instead of Rownhams on the M27?

Also I have e-mailed both P&O ferries and motorsport-travel.com about tickets as I could find no information on the open ticket.

Neither company supports an open ticket for travel; you have to book a specific date and time that you wish to travel.

P&O said
"I can confirm that you must travel on your booked outward and return ticket. Failure to do so will result in a request for additional payment. You will incur a 10.00 amendment fee plus any additional payment as a result of those changes. This amount payable will equal the difference between the original ticket price paid and the price for the new sailing on the day of travel. However it is possible to arrive at the port and purchase your tickets there, subject to space and availability
The only flexible ticket that does not incur any charges when amended is the Season ticket. However a minimum of five tickets must be purchased for your annual travel however, any number of these can be transferred to friends or family. These tickets entitle you to a low set rate for all of your travel and no amendment fees are applied. Should you wish to discuss this or any other aspect of your future travel in more detail I would be grateful if you would telephone our Contact Centre on 08705 202020"

"Unfortunately, we do not support open tickets. All bookings must be made for a specific date and time".

It is 142 miles from Winchester services to the Dover Ferry given our propensity for wayward travel and to allow for mishaps, what time ferry is suggested?

Re: Super Rally 2007 Bussloo

O.K. Done a bit more research.

Dover Calais Route:

Winchester services to Dover is 141.9 miles
Calais to Rally site is 246.6 miles
Total on the road is 388.5 miles
Cost:
P&O Ferry from Dover 24 May sails 0925 arrives 1155 (time zone change) £12.50
P&O Ferry from Calais 28 May sails 1400 arrives 1430 £12.50
Fuel surcharge £12.00
Total Cost £37.00

Harwich - Hook of Holland Route:

Winchester services to Harwich is 162.7 miles
Hook of Holland to Rally is 100.4 miles
Total on the road is 264.3 miles
Cost:
Stenna Ferry from Harwich 24 May sails 0900 arrives 1615 (time zone change) £54.00
Stenna Ferry from Hook of Holland 28 May sails 1145 arrives 2015 £60.00
No mention of fuel surcharge.
Total cost £114 (a night sailing would cost more as you have to book a cabin)

P&O Ferries http://www.poferries.com/tourist/

Stenna http://www.stenaline.co.uk/stena_lin...-_holland.html

You pays your money and takes your choice!

Re: Super Rally 2007 Bussloo

Frog check your return time from Hoek. My e ticket says: Ship Stena Hollandica Mon 28th May 14.45 hrs depart arrive 20.15 hrs.

Plus booked back in October it was £108 return going out with single cabin with window Wed night return as above.

They must have pushed their prices up when they realised the rally was on.

Re: Super Rally 2007 Bussloo

Ron & Bully started the ball rolling with a suggested start of 0500 at Rownhams services Eastbound. I asked for Winchester services to prevent having to go the wrong way to start.

I have PM'd Bully regarding the open ticket issue, but have not had a reply as yet.

Bully - read your mail

Not busy Friday night at the moment, so should be able to make it down.
