Winchester Harley riders are having there Christmas party on Saturday the 13th December, ( I know its a day after the Foresters do, )

Should be a good do if anyone fancies it,

cliff and & i, dropped in for a couple of hours, just a shame it was the next day after our party, as nobody else from our region turned up by the time we left at 10.30pm.

jinxy was right the band was good ,if a little too loud, so you could not easily talk to people inside the cromwell suite, and you could not go outside to chat with a drink.

no decent beer, only john smiths so forced to drink bottles of newcastle brown at £3 a bottle!

their last bash at the stanmore hotel as its being redeveloped into old peoples housing.

main problem was due to the miserable bastard neighbours, the pub has a weird policy, wherby the council have told the pub, no more than 10 people stood outside the pub after 10 o' clock and you cannot take your glasses outside-WTF

this soured the evening for us as you go to a pub to have a good time, not to be told what you can and cant do? especially when you have to keep walking back to the main pub to get your bottled beer, and have to wait for someone to unlock the door to let you in ?

there was the usual good spread of food and decent raffle prizes, but we left before that was drawn.

its always nice to be invited to other clubs parties and
the winchester boys obviously put a lot of effort and money into it, but it was just a shame about the venue.
