Was out on the bike today, and lost the gear shift.
I pulled over and wondered back along the road looking for it. No pavements either, so a bit dodgy!!
A few bikes passed, but one of them, a guy on a Fatboy(?), dropped off his girlfriend by my bike and came back to help.
He took me about a mile up the road 'till we saw it, and then brought me back.
I didn't catch his name, only that they were on their way down the quay, so maybe a local? Had a HOG badge on his lapel.
I just want to say "Thanks a lot!" Hopefully I'll catch up with him one day for a beer!
It's great when somebody comes along to brighten the gloom!

That's the difference between bike riders and car drivers. Years ago, when we lived on the Isle of Wight, I was heavily pregnant with our first son. I
My car broke down at some traffic lights so I put my hazards on, got out with my big fat belly and it was AGES before some kind soul came and pushed me out of the way. Every other ignorant car driver was just beeping at me. What more could they expect a pregnant woman to do?

You're dead right about car drivers!!

Couple Years back I stood on the Hard shoulder of the M5 on a busy Friday afternoon with my F****ing Softail on Fire!!

100 cars musta driven past and not a single one stopped & offered me a bottle of water or a fire extingusher!!
