Does that pub do B&B? Or is there anywhere nearby to stay?

Sorry, no B&B at the pub. Suggest a look on line for nearest.

Re: Region 19 AGM 17 March 2012 5:30pm

Bit worried when our group first arrived at 5pm and only about 20 people there, but needless to say by the time the agm finally got under way about 6pm and adding a few late arrivals,we managed a respectable number of 43 members in attendance.

The minutes of last year were read out and approved and it was down to business....

JTO outlined the last year from our regions perspective, highlighting a few key moments along the way.

Patrick (treasurer) read out the accounts and despite quite a few parties with bands and beer thrown in or up , we are in a good enough financial position to keep our rally in June the cheapest around at only £10 for members.

The summing up of our Regions sponsorship of Patrick (the French owls) bonnevile run provided much merriment and quips about watching your money go up in smoke and getting your fingers burnt etc.etc.

We decided to keep the Foresters and The Shoulder Of mutton as the two "official" club night pubs.

Also keeping the Woodman as a "get Together " pub for the 1st friday of each month.

it Was debated and decided not to fill the vacant 3rd friday slot(now the Anchor has gone),but leave it open for perhaps the occasional meet up if somebody wants to post something on the web site.

It was also decided and voted on to keep all the existing region reps and positions. In the words of our glorious leader "If it works,it don't need fixing"!

Yours truly got a thank you and was asked to carry on with his region reports and ramblings for another year after some chastisment for the lateness of some of them.

These are the general highlights of our agm and not necessarily all in the correct order for those who could not make it or had to leave suddenly.

Lastly Kim took the mike and presented JTO with his 65th birthday present of a eukalaylee, on the condition that he demonstrated his Skills later on at his party.

Finally at 7pm the agm was brought to a close much to the relief of everybody and it was a mad dash to the bar or toilets.

I would have left it to a rep for an "official" round up ,but i can guarantee none of them will be in a fit state for some time, following last nights party!

Andy, you're a star!

It saves any of us drunkards actually having to do any typing

Well done everyone.

Glad to see traditions are upheld for another year (everyone keeps their positions, there is money for the rally, Black&Green keep the drinking machine and Andy writes a report. Excellent).
