Vance & Hines Pipes for 2007 models

Just been to trade show today. The people from Vance & Hines tell us that they are testing out the new vance & Hines for the 2007 models at the moment. The pipes will come with the fuel or engine management upgrade package that will be included in the price of the pipe.

Re: Vance & Hines Pipes for 2007 models

I fitted V&H big shots to my 2006 fxdbi and had no problems.

The only 'issue' I had was when replacing the stock air filter with a S&S. With the stock airfilter, there is an electrical feed into the back of the air filter which operates the flap to restrict air flow at low revs. When I fitted the S&S, there was nowhere for this wire to go and the engine management light came on in my dash at lower speeds.

It seems there are 2 options:
1) Butcher the stock air filter and take out the eletrcial solenoid and fit it to the 'feed'.
2) Zodiac supply a 'trick box', that is an elegant solution which fits to the stock wire harness and tricks the engine management system to believe the stock air filter is still there. Zodiac also do one for the 02 sensors on 07 models. I use Harley Mania for these sorts of supplies, Alistair is really helpful.

Anyway, on a 2006 - Option 2, worked for me.

Question Re: Electrical feed/Air Filter

With reference to the Electrical Feed to Restrict Air at low speeds. What do the stealerships do with this electrical feed when they fit a Screamin Eagle Air filter in a Stage 1 ?
