Bit worried about spilling fuel on my newly airbrushed tank. Scoured the internet for a gizmo and found the McCuff. Has anyone used one of these devices and have I just wasted 20 US Dollars? It looks like it could work fits over the tank opening if the cap removes fully and allows you to fill the tank fully (important on a Nightster) before getting the first click off from the pipe. They have a good web site if anyone wants to google McCuff.

I first saw these gadgets on "American Chopper", they built a bike for the firm that produces them. Mikey was demonstrating it and managed to flood it all over the tank! It seemed to work well enough the next time, but I'd be wary after seeing it go wrong. I will be sticking to simply being careful and surely your tank has been finished off with a two-pack clear coat?

Thanks and your absolutely right. Its just that no matter how careful I am I have been known to spill fuel. Yes the tank has the clear coat but I always feel that regular exposure to fuel spillage does cause dulling of paintwork eventually and the cost of the airbrushing makes me even more protective. The other thing that the McCuff claims to do is to allow you to fill right to the top risk free of spillage. My Nightster has the small tank and therefore every drop I can get in helps. I have found the device helpful so far but will report back after three months useage as to whether in the longer term it is worthwhile.
